I'm Abby Watson the founder of .... I am here to guide you to have the best birth for you.

I'm an experienced Hypnobirthing Teacher, teaching courses across West Yorkshire and online for those further away.

I understand what it is like to feel apprehensive about birth. That was me when pregnant with my first baby. We hear so many awful stories about it don't we?

Hypnobirthing changed that for me and left me feeling excited about birth. Honestly!

I love seeing this change in my clients too. Birth doesn't have to be something to fear and it can be an incredibly positive experience.

I'd love to hear in the comments what has brought you to this page and how I can help.

When I was pregnant, I couldn’t stop thinking about the what ifs...

What if it’s the best experience of my life

What if I feel calm throughout

What if I feel supported and loved throughout

What if my surroundings help me feel safe and at ease

What if I experience powerful sensations that make me feel in awe of my body

What if I bring my baby into the word with ease

Thank goodness Hypnobirthing helped me let go of the limiting thoughts and beliefs that had haunted me before this ❤️❤️❤️

What ‘what ifs’ are you going to focus on?

Things to remember about contractions…

1 They come and go. Most women experience a break in between them where they are free from the intensity.

2 They build in intensity overtime giving your body time for your endorphins to build.

3 These sensations are simply muscles working. Muscles work better and more comfortably when you are relaxed.

4 Each one is bringing your baby closer.

5 They can’t be stronger that you, because they are you.

Are you an animal lover?

Whether you are or you aren’t I bet you know a little about how they birth.

Often if we see another species birth, they’ll just get on with it. Noises are likely to be more noises of power rather than distress. They know exactly what to do.

It’s always fascinated me this difference. Human birth is often associated with distress and problems and yet other mammals make it look much easier.

Are we faulty? Or actually is it more to do with our clever, often overthinking minds?

Our ability to fear it
Our ability to not trust it
Our ability to over complicate it
Our ability to even mess with it

I love this quote from Ina May and it’s definitely food for thought

How we start our day can have such a big impact upon how we feel for the rest of the day.
Find a bit of quite time to absorb some positive messages. Perhaps read some positive affirmations to set the tone of your day.

Affirmations that I love:

My baby will be born at the right time and place for a Calm Birth

Each day I build more trust in my body and my instincts

Birth is safe

I know what I can control and I let go of what I can’t

I suggest to my Hypnobirthing clients that they listen to their positive affirmation track as they get ready on a morning. It sets their vibe for the day.
❤️

A common question I get asked is…

When is the best time to start a Hypnobirthing course?

My response is that the ideal time to begin the course is between 20 and 30 weeks of pregnancy. The more time you have to practice the techniques and use the decision-making tools, the better.

However, please don’t worry if you are beyond this point in pregnancy, you will still massively benefit from a course.

“My Partner won’t be interested in that”

I could debate whether or not what your partner thinks is really that relevant if it’s not them giving birth. But maybe that’s for another day
😉

I hear this a lot, “My Partner won’t be interested in that” yet I’m always really confident that when they do come to a course they certainly WILL be interested.

I’d probably say around 90% of birth partner’s come along to a Hypnobirthing course with some reservation. Come on the name ‘hypnobirthing’ doesn’t really do us any favours! They are assuming it’s a bit mind control, a bit Woo, a bit preachy perhaps?

Who’s this weird woman and what’s she going to do to us?!

But actually, the course is about them too. They don’t want to be a spare part. They’d love to know how to support you and make this a team experience.

I trust that they will be reassured that Hypnobirthing is logical. There’s science behind it and lots of links with big mindset practices like sports psychology.

Plus, I’m not that much of a weirdo 😉

So even if they are a bit of a sceptic, still book your course. They’ll be fine, I promise.

When I tell people I’m a Hypnobirthing teacher they think I’m so lucky that my life is filled with chat about babies and glorious new baby announcements.

I do love been surrounded by growing bumps and adorable new babies but its not what I love the most.
For me it’s all about the parents.
I love supporting women.
I love seeing confidence grow.
The sense of calm.
The new relationships blossom.
The excitement.
The empowerment.
The strength they didn’t know they had.
When women support women, incredible things happen!

Frequently asked questions about using these posts

Yes absolutely. Do feel free to use my words. Do carefully read them though as occasionally it might say my name, so simply swap it to yours.

Alternatively, use them as inspiration and write your own words.

Post on your instagram and Facebook page. Share to your personal Facebook profile.

Tag people that you think will share the love and interact with your post.

Ask friends and family to share your posts. Remember that most people want to support our businesses but just don't know how.

Share to Facebook groups. These don't have to be pregnancy specific e.g. they could be local community groups. Remember that expectant parents are everywhere. (Do check that the group allows business posts though)

Yes, click 'Download the Template' it will then open the Canva file.

You can then change any colours, fonts, images to match your branding if you want to.

So, the end parts i.e. the call to actions might say things like 'I have ... spaces on my group course remaining'. You might not offer group courses. Simply change the call to action to something that you do offer. E.g. 'I teach one- to- one courses via video call wherever you are in the world. I have availability for one client and their birth partner beginning...'

The aim is to make it as clear as possible what you offer and what they need to do next.

No need to. This is my gift to you.

If you would like to tag me, I'd love to cheer you on. My insta handle is @loveyourbirth_training

I'd be flattered to think every Hypnobirthing Teacher is on my mailing list, but really they are not.

Also, these posts are designed to speak to expectant parents. It is highly unlikely that your pregnant followers are also following loads of other Hypnobirthing teachers as well. And even if they were what are the chances of you all being on my mailing list, posting the same post from here on the same day?! 🤔

Also, this is why I invite you to tweak the posts, add your own tone of voice, your own photo etc. They won't look and sound the same that way.
